Description
Author Roald Dahl has had many of his children's books adapted into movies, including "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "James and the Giant Peach," "The BFG" and now "The Twits."
Two brave children (voiced by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Ryan Lopez) team up with a family of magical animals to try to stop two of the meanest, nastiest villains (voiced by three-time Emmy winner Margo Martindale and Johnny Vegas) from taking over their town.
Phil Johnston ("Ralph Breaks the Internet," "Zootopia") directed, co-wrote and co-produced the 98-minute movie, with Oscar and Grammy winner David Byrne writing the songs performed by the characters.
"It was just joyous, truly, not just Phil, but also David Byrne, getting to sing his music, it was a feast of love," said Martindale ("The Americans," "Justified").
"The Twits" begins streaming Friday, Oct. 17 on Netflix.
