The New Whiteland Police Department said officers arrested a teenager accused of attacking and raping an elderly woman in her home. The chief told 13News, his officers were searching neighborhoods around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 looking for 16-year-old Ariahn Smith, of New Whiteland, who had left his home without permission about an hour prior. According to court documents, a 79-year-old woman said she was carrying in groceries that were delivered to her home. She said on the third trip into her house, she saw an unknown male inside her home.
