Description
It's been a dangerous year in the Circle City for those travelling by foot and especially pedal.
As 13News previously reported, eight bicyclists have been hit and killed on Indianapolis streets in 2025, according to data collected by Safe Streets Indy.
Since Jan. 1, there have been 538 crashes involving pedestrians or cyclists. Of those, thirteen have occurred at crossings along the 27-mile stretch of the Monon Trail.
It's got the attention of Indianapolis Metro Police, and they hope it causes everyone—drivers and cyclists—to pay more attention at the crossings.
