Description
The Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged a 21-year-old man for his alleged role in a triple shooting Saturday night on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
Carlos Contreras, of Indianapolis, is facing the following charges:
- Three counts of attempted murder
- Two counts of aggravated battery
- One count of battery by means of a deadly weapon
- One count of possession of a machine gun
- One count of criminal recklessness
- One count of resisting law enforcement
According to IMPD, around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 20, officers were already in 5600 block of Georgetown Road, near West 56th Street, to monitor a large event when officers heard gunshots nearby.
