Nine out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die, according to the American Heart Association.
In most of these cases, bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) wasn't performed.
The American Heart Association is working to change that.
The 34th annual American Heart Association Heart Walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis.
