A former corrections officer at the Indiana Women's Prison was sentenced after raping an inmate at the prison. Uzochukwu Chinweze was sentenced to 11 years after being found guilty of rape and two counts of sexual misconduct after a one-day court trial in August, prosecutors said. According to court documents, Indiana State Police began investigating in January 2024 after an inmate said she was raped by a former guard.
