Lawrence police are investigating a police shooting Wednesday afternoon. It happened around 1:20 p.m. Sept. 10 in the 7300 block of Red Rock Road, near Pendleton Pike and Carroll Road on the city's far east side. Police say the location was a group home, and a caretaker had been assaulted.
