IMPD on Wednesday, Sept. 3 announced the arrest of a suspect in the fatal shooting of two young women on Indianapolis' northeast side in 2021. Twenty-five-year-old Tadijah Davis, of Indianapolis, has been charged with two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of 21-year-old Ashanti Robinson and 23-year-old Patrice Jones, according to online court records. The shooting happened just after midnight March 1, 2021, in the 4000 block of Cordell Street, near North Post Road and East 42nd Street. IMPD said officers responding to a report of shots fired located Robinson and Jones outside with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
