Description
John Grisham's 1995 book – also adapted as a 1997 movie – is now coming to the small screen.
"The Rainmaker" follows Rudy Baylor (Milo Callaghan), a lawyer fresh out of law school who goes head-to-head with courtroom behemoth Leo Drummond (John Slattery) and his law school girlfriend, Sarah (Madison Iseman). Alongside his boss, Jocelyn "Bruiser" Stone (Lana Parrilla), and her disheveled paralegal, Deck (P.J. Byrne), they uncover two connected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.
"It's a grieving mother looking for justice for her son, and a young lawyer and the people around him that take up the mantle and pursue justice," said Callaghan ("Rivals," "Dune: Prophecy"). "It's a David-and-Goliath story — a small-street firm, led by the beautiful Lana Parrilla, going up against John Slattery's Leo Drummond at a huge commercial firm."
New episodes of "The Rainmaker" air Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network and are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
