Description
The City of Loveland says it has issued a 30-day temporary permit for the Loveland Resource Center to serve as an overnight shelter, a stopgap measure that comes as northern Colorado faces a worsening crisis of shelter for people experiencing homelessness.
The permit allows the facility to house overnight guests even without severe weather conditions for the next 30 days, with indoor space prioritized for women and people with physical disabilities, while others can stay in tents on the property, according to a city spokesperson. The shelter is available to people 18 and older.
