Description
One person died when an ultralight glider hit power lines, crashed and caught fire southwest of Berthoud on Wednesday morning.
The pilot, a Boulder man, was the only person onboard the aircraft when the crash happened, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
The crash happened about 8:40 a.m. in the 9000 block of County Road 2, according to the Berthoud Fire Protection District. When responders arrived on scene, they found the glider had crashed and caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the flames.
