Tropical Storm Humberto Formed Wednesday afternoon well east of the northern Lesser Antilles. Forecast to become a hurricane this weekend with a track shifting west of Bermuda, possibly putting the island in its path. No direct impacts are expected along the East Coast aside from higher surf. Invest 93 is currently a disorganized cluster of storms across Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the northeast Caribbean. Models show it moving over Hispaniola and then toward the Bahamas. The National Hurricane Center gives it a high chance of development, but its future depends in part on Humberto. No threat to the Gulf. Gulf and Caribbean Outlook The northwest Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico remain quiet, with no signs of development through the start of October.
