Description
Torrential rainstorms during the winter of 1964-1965 caused extensive flooding throughout the Far Western States. In Washington, areas outside Seattle were heavily impacted, including the White River basin near Enumclaw where a bridge collapsed, and Puget Island which was declared a disaster area. Rivers like the Nisqually also reached high crests.
