Carlos Ramos of Muskegon, Michigan says his coworker asked him to killer her husband because divorce would be too difficult. Instead, Ramos went to police, who set up a sting to nab Julia Merfeld
Carlos Ramos said he had a choice to make: Take a $50,000 payoff and kill a co-worker's husband or do the right thing and expose her alleged murder-for-hire plot to authorities.
For the 31-year-old Ramos, who already spent time behind bars for a weapons charge, the choice was simple. He went to police.

Julia Merfeld, 21, was arrested on Wednesday for solicitation of murder and now faces up to life in prison if she is convicted.
Ramos and Merfeld became friends while working together for the past four months at a restaurant on Harvey Street, where Merfeld worked as a server and Ramos works as a busboy.
According to Ramos, the first time she approached him with the plan to murder her 27-year-old husband Jacob, he didn’t take her too seriously.
