Robert Jarar Maze, 15, Christopher Peltier, 15 and Saulo Montalvo, 16: The trio killed a store clerk in a February, 1996 while robbing the Beer Kooler party store on Alpine Avenue south of 9th Street NW. Rodney Corp, 61, died from a rifle shot to the chest. The trio took the store's cash register and fled in a stolen car. Maze, 33, is at Kinross Correctional Facility. Peltier, 33, is at Baraga Maximum Facility in the Upper Peninsula. Montalvo, 34, is at Earnest C. Brooks Correctional Facility in Muskegon. In 1996, Montalvo drove 15-year-old friends Christopher Peltier and Robert Maze to the former Westside Beer Kooler at 854 Alpine Ave. NW in Grand Rapids. According to court records, Maze shot and killed the cashier, 61-year-old Rodney Corp, and Peltier scooped up the money. Store video tells the sad tale. As Montalvo sat behind the wheel of the getaway car, he heard gunshots and knew right away what had happened when the pair got in the car.
