Description
The Danbury Trashers are a defunct United Hockey League (UHL) ice hockey team that was located in Danbury, Connecticut. They were first established in 2004 as an expansion team named for their owner's business ventures.

-April 1, 2004 - First press conference.
-October 15, 2004 - Opening Night at Danbury Ice Arena. Richard Blumenthal drops the opening puck. -June 12, 2006 - Danbury Trashers officially disband and announce they will not be returning for the 2006-07 season.
AJ Galante
-April 1, 2004 - First press conference. The team is founded & played in the UHL (United Hockey League) AJ Galante (age 17) becomes GM of the team (Senior in High School @ New Fairfield High).
Jimmy Galante

-December 1, 2004 - Jimmy charged with assault
-June 8, 2006 - A grand jury indicts Galante and 28 others - Galante held without bail.
-June 9, 2006 - Galante arrested and house is raided
-June 14, 2006 - Galante's lawyers file court papers asking Burns to reconsider her order to hold him without bail.
-June 30, 2006 - Burns allows Galante to be released upon posting $2 million bail, but he is on house arrest.
-Oct. 12, 2007 - Galante is charged in state court with violating campaign finance laws.
-June 3, 2008 - Galante pleads guilty to racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to defraud the IRS and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
-Sept. 3, 2008 - Burns sentences Galante to more than seven years behind bars, the maximum term she could impose under the plea agreement.
-Oct. 15, 2008 - Galante reports to the low-security prison at the Allenwood Federal Correctional Institution in White Deer, Pa., to begin serving his sentence.
-2014 - Jimmy Galante was released from Allenwood Federal Prison after serving six years.

-May 11, 2008 - Richard Galietti pleads guilty to criminal charges -July 24, 2008 - sentenced after pleading guilty.

-March 14, 2006 - Richard Brosal is questioned by a grand jury about the UHL and its dealings with Galante.
Matthew “The Horse” Ianniello -
-May 2006 - Matthew Ianniello is identified as a target of the probe
-June 26, 2006 - Ianniello pleads not guilty in the case at his arraignment in federal court, as do several others, including Santopietro.
Mayor Joseph Santopietro -
-September 25, 1991 - Mayor Santopietro is arrested.
- April 3, 1992 - Santopietro is convicted of taking $125,000 in payoffs from developers in the 1980s and using federal money for personal expenses.
-June 12, 1992 - Santopietro sentenced to 9 years in prison.
-January 20, 1993 - Santopietro released on $1 million bond pending appeal hearing.
-June 8, 2006 - A grand jury indicts Galante and 28 others including Joe Santopietro.
-June 9, 2006 - Santopietro was arrested at his home
-June 4, 2007 - Santopietro sentenced to 5 years probation after being one of 29 indicted.
Louis DeLuca (State Senate Minority Leader) -
-June 1, 2007 - State Senate Minority Leader Louis DeLuca, of Woodbury, is arrested on a charge of conspiracy to commit second-degree threatening.
-June 4, 2007 - DeLuca pleads guilty in the case and receives a six-month suspended jail sentence and is ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $1,500 charitable contribution.
-October 15, 2007 - DeLuca testified in front of the committee investigating him -November 13, 2007 - DeLuca announces he will resign as a state senator at month's end. -Nov. 30, 2007 - DeLuca’s resignation from the Senate goes into effect.
