Description
1944 (December): Battle of the Bulge, German offensive campaign launched through the Ardennes region. American soldier in a PR film for the US military talking about the Battle of Bulge and the siege of Bastogne.We see an American camp in France. GIs preparing for battle, getting supplies and ammunition. US soldiers fighting Germans in winter snow. They had the nickname "The Battered Bastards" or "The Bastards of Bastogne." Heavy artillery fire at night and flame throwers. The Airforce arrives with planes called Skytrain or Skytrooper or "Dakota". They provide air support and drop supplies with parachutes. The GIs winn the battle, we see dead bodies of German soldiers, German POWs (Prisoners of War) and marching GIs.
