Description
1961: KATANGA TROOPS FIGHT U.N. FORCE: New Violence flares in the unhappy Congo as United Nations troops move in force against rebellious elements in Katanga Province. The troops of the secessionist province vow to follow a scorched earth policy and fight to the end. A fighter escort now accompanies U.S. cargo planes bringing in supplies.
