Description

1961, April: Bay of Pigs Invasion. FOES OF CASTRO OPEN OFFENSIVE: Cuban army pilots bomb three military installations to open a full-scale invasion of the island. The pilots seek asylum in Florida as shell fragments are displayed to diplomats in Havana. Ambassador Adlai Stevenson answers charges of U.
