Egypt's 'Jon Stewart' satirist back on air with new show After three months off the air, Egyptian satirist Bassem Youssef returned to TV screens on Friday with a new show during which he poked fun at army chief Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Youssef, known as "Egypt's Jon Stewart" after modelling his show on the US comedian's popular satirical news programme, has run foul of authorities in the past.
