Winter storm pummels Mideast, blankets Jerusalem A bruising winter storm brought severe weather to the Middle East Thursday. The weather sent temperatures plunging and brought heavy snow at higher elevations, including in Jerusalem, where schools were closed and conditions were expected to worsen.
