Landlocked Bolivia demands maritime access in annual ceremony The landlocked nation of Bolivia held its annual "Day of the Sea" on 23 March. The country lost its 400km of coastline to Chile in the 1879 War of the Pacific, and the countries broke off diplomatic relations over the issue in 1978.
