Palestinians march on the eve of the anniversary of the "Nakba" Palestinians took part in a commemoration march on the eve of the 66th anniversary of the "Nakba" in the city of RAmallah in the West Bank. "Nakba" means in Arabic "catastrophe" in reference to the birth of the state of Israel 66-years-ago in British-mandate Palestine, which led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who either fled or were driven out of their homes during the 1948 war over Israel's creation.
