The 55-year-old leader of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) began in June a two-year jail sentence for bribery in Slovenia's biggest ever defence deal. His supporters have been protesting regularly in front of the Supreme Court in Ljubljana to get him released, blasting the country's current leaders and justice system for jailing Jansa, whom they say is innocent.
