Description
In Liberia drug traffickers profit from open borders after Ebola The Governments of Liberia and Sierra Leone have been busy fighting the menace created by the deadly Ebola virus, but Illicit Drug Lords have taken advantage of the situation to advance the drug trade. These drug gangs have used the fragile situation created by Ebola scare at the border between Liberia and Sierra Leone. They have allegedly crossed with huge quantities of illegal drugs at illegal crossing points while the security forces were called to help in the fight against Ebola. But the Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has been very vigilant to counter the growing drug trafficking ring. Several arrests have been made since the reopening of the borders as Ebola fades away in Liberia. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
