Last day of the commemoration of the Nakba in Gaza About 2,000 Palestinians attended a march to mark the 67th anniversary of the "Nakba", in Gaza City on Saturday. "Nakba" means in Arabic "catastrophe" in reference to the birth of the state of Israel 67-years-ago in British-mandate Palestine, which led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who either fled or were driven out of their homes during the 1948 war over Israel's creation.
