Description
Yazidi refugees in Turkey see better life in Europe than Iraq Iraqi refugees from the Yazidi minority group, which was brutally attacked by the Islamic State group, say they do want to return home despite the recent recapture of their stronghold Sinjar by Iraqi Kurdish forces. The IS group overran the northern town last year, targeting Yazidis -- whose faith it considers heretical -- in a campaign of massacres, enslavement and rape that the United Nations has described as a possible genocide. Of the thousands of Yazidis who fled the region, many are now living in refugee camps in Turkey and see a better future for themselves in Europe rather than back home in Iraq. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
