Description
Germanwings: the crash site open to the public On Saturday, the path that had been created to allow access by emergency crews to the Germanwings airplane crash site last March opened to the public. The last of the debris has been cleared and cleaned of contaminants and families of victims and people who are simply curious can now visit the area by way of the facilitated access. The mayors of Prads-Haute-Bléone and Le Vernet hope that the increased access won't lead to "morbid tourism" and are relying on people to access the site in a respectful way.
