Description
London's underground tunnel postal system comes to light Dark tunnels stretching for kilometres under the British capital were once an integral part of the country's postal service. First used in 1927 and fully functioning up until 2003, driverless wagons were used to shuttle post from one side of the city to the other. Now planning is underway by The Postal Museum to open up part of the network next year to the public, bringing to light this largely unknown, complex system lying under the feet of Londoners.
