French FM rejects Netanyahu's "impartiality" claim French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault rejects Israel's assertion that France's "impartiality" has been called into question. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that French support for a UNESCO resolution on Jerusalem cast doubt on the impartiality of its Middle East peace initiative. Ayrault is in Ramallah for meetings with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas ahead of a France-sponsored Middle East peace process summit in Paris on May 30 which have also been rejected by Israel.
