Iceland swears in shaky new government after Panama Papers Iceland's former prime minister Sigmundur Gunnlaugsson says he wants to spend time with his family after he quit Tuesday amid mass protests over a hidden offshore account revealed in the "Panama Papers" leak of millions of financial records. Gunnlaugsson officially handed in his resignation to President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, and the president then formally swore in new prime minister Sigurdur Ingi Johannsson and his cabinet.
