Voting and shopping: Priorities at France's largest Muslim event The largest gathering of Muslims in Europe, the 'annual meeting of the Muslims of France' kicks off in Paris. Somewhere between a political-religious forum and a trade fair, the event is organised by the Union of French Islamic Organisations (UOIF), soon to be known as 'Muslims of France' with some 50,000 visitors are expected to visit over the course of the long weekend.
