Hillsborough families welcome criminal charges Four former senior policemen are among six people charged over the 1989 Hillsborough stadium disaster in England that killed 96 Liverpool football supporters. Barry Devonside, whose 18-year-old son Christopher died in the tragedy, was with other relatives when the charges were announced, and says it has been "so very hard for the families to fight for justice" in the years that have passed since the tragedy.
