Thai king's crematorium at night Ahead of the cremation of Thailand's late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the 26th October, a vast and ornate crematorium has been constructed beside Bangkok's Grand Palace. Bhumibol, who died on the 13th October last year, reigned over Thailand for seventy years and was revered as a semi-divine figure. The crematorium will host more than seven thousand invited guests, and is adorned with dozens of intricate statues of gods, animals and mythical creatures. IMAGES
