Pro-Turkish forces shell convoy approaching Afrin: monitor A convoy of civilians and fighters from the Kurdish territories of northeastern Syria heading to the Afrin region was shelled Thursday by pro-Turkish forces according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The Turkish army said they bombed on Thursday a convoy of "between 30 and 40 vehicles" transporting "terrorists and ammunition" and approaching Afrin by the South-East, adding forces took precautions to avoid harming civilians.
