50 years ago, MLK supported the Memphis sanitation strike Fifty years ago Martin Luther King Jr went to Memphis to support the sanitation workers' strike. Today more than ten of these men are still alive, and among them, Elmore Nickleberry, 86, still drives trucks around the city.
