Jia Zhangke back in Cannes with 'Ash is Purest White' Acclaimed Chinese filmmaker Jia Zhangke, who returns to the Cannes Film Festival for the fifth time, presents his latest movie 'Ash is Purest White', a tale of "violent love" between a dancer and a mobster starring his wife, Zhao Tao, and Liao Fan.
