Alexandre Benalla and Vincent Crase's police custody extended The police custody of Alexandre Benalla and Vincent Crase at the headquarters of the judicial police was extended Saturday morning for up to 24 hours. Emmanuel Macron's aide and the gendarme reservist, an employee of La République en marche, have been in police custody since Friday evening as part of a preliminary investigation opened after a video showing him beating a demonstrator on 1 May.
