Description
Stockshots of silk farming in Uzbekistan From the end of April to the end of May, people in rural Uzbekistan cultivate silkworm. This is based on manual labour and requires great attention and care throughout the larval stage to prepare for the day when caterpillars begin to turn into cocoons. Women play a big role in silkworm production. In 2017 in Uzbekistan, 12,450 tons of cocoons were harvested; the average price of 1 kilogram of silkworm cocoons is 20,000 soms (US$ 2,5). STOCKSHOTS
