Salvadoran Per Anger Prize winner talks about award Teodora del Carmen Vasquez, a Salvadoran woman who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for murder after giving birth to a stillborn child, talks about receiving the 2018 Per Anger Award for supporting human rights and democracy. Vasquez was released in February 2018 after her sentence was commuted, she now campaigns for the release of women jailed under the legislation that saw her spend nearly 10 years in prison. Vasquez will receive the award on Thursday 8 November in Stockholm.
