Zimbabwean activist Mawarire maintains he committed no crime Leading Zimbabwean activist pastor Evan Mawarire arrives at the Harare Magistrate’s Court. He was arrested for, among other things, inciting violence through social media during nationwide protests three days ago. This was triggered by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s announcement to double the fuel price - resulting in at least five people being killed, many more injured, and more than 600 arrests.
