DRC: Yumbi massacre - return to the scene 2 months on According to the United Nations, at least 535 people were killed on 16 and 17 December 2018 in the town of Yumbi, 400 km north of Kinshasa, DR Congo. These killings resulted in the displacement of 16,000 refugees across the river into Congo-Brazzaville, and the postponement of the December 30 general elections in the Yumbi district.
