Protest in Mauritania to demand release of dissident bloggers Over a hundred people demonstrate outside Nouakchott's central prison to demand the release of two Mauritanian bloggers, Abderrahmane Ould Wedadi and Cheikh Ould Jiddou. The pair have been detained since last Friday for "calumnious accusations" relating to $2 billion worth of frozen assets in Dubai, allegedly pertaining to Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.
