Myanmar's Wa state rehearses ceasefire anniversary celebrations The self-proclaimed Wa State on Myanmar's border with China holds rehearsals for a ceremony to mark the anniversary of its ceasefire with the Myanmar military. With an estimated population of some 600,000 people, Wa State enjoys an unusual degree of autonomy within Myanmar and boasts the country's largest non-state army of around 30,000 soldiers.
