Channel tunnel: when Britain and France joined hands (1/2) Ahead of the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Channel Tunnel on 6 May 1994, the French tunneller Philippe Cozette remembers when he knocked down the last wall and shook hands with his English counterpart.
