French Finance Minister booed on arriving at GE factory French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire is booed on arrival at General Electric's Belfort factory which employs nearly 4,000 people. He has come to meet with management and employee representatives, following last week's announcement that GE would cut more than 1,000 jobs mainly at its gas turbine operations in eastern France, part of a wave of European layoffs as it tries to stem losses in its power generation business.
