Description
Stockshots of WW2 site Pointe du Hoc in Normandy With its cliffs overlooking Utah and Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc was fortified by the Germans during the Second World War. On the morning of June 6, 1944, during the Normandy landings, the "Rangers" of American Colonel Rudder attacked the fortifications to neutralize the German artillery battery. Since 1979, the conservation of this site, threatened by erosion, has been entrusted to the American Battle Monuments Commission. AERIAL IMAGES of Pointe du Hoc(COMPLETES VID1248257_EN)
