Vineyards of Burgundy become French police's new combat zone There's a new threat to the prestigious vineyards of Burgundy, and it comes in the shape of grape thieves who strike at annual harvest time. Thankfully for Vincent Gros, the co-manager of the Gros Frère et Sœur estate which produces the esteemed Echézeaux and Clos de Vougeot vintages, there's also a deterrent in the shape of khaki-clad gendarmes who, day and night, are dedicated to catching the culprits.
