Union loses key appeal regarding Ford factory closure The CGT Union of the Ford factory in Blanquefort (Gironde) suffered a further setback after its application was rejected on Tuesday on appeal. They were asking the civil courts to recognise that the site closure was not motivated by economic reasons. There are no longer any legal obstacles preventing Ford from dismissing the 872 employees.
