Description
Six months on, firefighters remember tackling Notre-Dame blaze Six months after the Notre-Dame fire, AFP spoke to two firefighters involved in the operations on the night of the disaster. Rodolphe Néron is a volunteer firefighter and Fabien Frémont the chief warrant officer at the Saint-Germain-sur-Morin fire station in Seine et Marne. The first helped operate an articulated lift arm to try to fight the blaze in the North Towers. The second intervened later that night to take over and ensure the water supply. The two men say that being involved in this "historic" operation will forever mark their careers. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
